You can update your account email address from your Account Settings. The process requires you to confirm your new address before the change takes effect.
If you signed up with Google or GitHub, changing your email will unlink your account from that provider. You will need to set a password and sign in with email and password going forward. See Google or GitHub users for details.

How to change your email

  1. Go to your Account Settings.
  2. Click the edit icon next to your current email address.
  3. Enter your new email address and click Send verification email.
  4. Check your new email inbox for a confirmation link.
  5. Click the link within 24 hours to confirm the change.
Once confirmed, your account email is updated immediately. After the change, you will receive a notification at both addresses:
  • New email — a confirmation that your account is now linked to the new address.
  • Old email — a notice that the change was made, with an option to undo it within 24 hours.

Email address requirements

Your new email address must meet the following requirements:
  • Valid email format, no longer than 255 characters.
  • Not already in use by another ZenRows account.
  • Different from your current email address.
  • Not a reserved system address.
If your account belongs to an organisation, your new email must use the same domain as your current one (for example, you@company.com can only change to another @company.com address).
You can request an email change up to 3 times per hour. If you reach this limit, wait before trying again.
When you click the link in your confirmation email, a few checks are made before the change is applied:
  • Link expiry — the link is valid for 24 hours. If it expires, start the process again from your Account Settings.
  • Email taken — if someone else registered with your new email address between your request and clicking the link, the change will be blocked. You will need to choose a different address and start over.
  • Account disabled — if your account has been disabled in the meantime, the email change will be cancelled and you will not be able to proceed.

Google or GitHub users

If you signed up using Google or GitHub, you can still change your email address. However, this will disconnect your account from that provider. After the change:
  • You will sign in using your new email address and a password.
  • You will be prompted to set a password if you don’t already have one.
  • You will no longer be able to sign in with Google or GitHub.
If you have no password set, clicking the confirmation link will log you in and hold the email change. You must set a password before the new address is finalised.

Undoing an email change

After your email is updated, an undo link is sent to your old email address. You can use this link within 24 hours to revert to your previous email address.
